About the project

The project was funded by an HLF Resilient Heritage Grant, with Waltham Forest as the client, and set out to evaluate potential usages of Chestnut's House and sources of capital and revenue funding, including an HLF Enterprise Grant.

The consultancy's role

Alix Slater Consultancy & Training was contracted by Stephen Taylor Architects to assist with the business plan. The consultancy looked at various potential uses for the building and modelled it operating as a recording studio, as shared work space, and for public use.
